Vegetarian Pantry Check List

In my first prepping experience on this challenge I created a list of foods that I would need and thought would go well together. I have also found that everything is good as a homemade "Chipotle-esque" bowl.

I do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi, I save a TON and they have some really great options! Outside of there I will pop into Trader Joe's and Kroger. I have yet to make it to a Whole Foods since I have started this but I am sure they have lots of options!

Sauces:

Indian Butter Sauce (really any Indian sauce)

Pesto

Marinara

salsa

guac!!

Hummus

balsamic

Veg. Broth

Hot Sauce

Veggies:

Cauliflower

Broccoli

carrots (baby and shredded)

Bell peppers

onions (green and red)

garlic

peas (frozen, bc I am busy)

Sweet potato

Kale (yes I LOVE it, even have the sweatshirt)

Edamame

Spaghetti Squash

Cucumber

Cherry/grape tomatoes

Banana peppers (hot peppers)

Fruits:

Berries (frozen and fresh)

Bananas

Apples

Grains/beans:

Lentils

Brown rice

Quinoa

Pasta - whole wheat + protein, also found black bean pasta at Trader Joe's with 14g Protein/serving

black beans, kidney, bean sprouts ECT

all the spices and herbs!

Dairy:

Eggs

Cheese sticks

fresh Mozzarella

Non fat Greek yogurt

Cottage Cheese

Shredded cheese

I do not drink milk but that is always an option

Dry foods:

Original pretzel crisps (no fat!)

Bagels

English muffins (added protein options)

waffles (whole grain)

Rice cakes

Nuts & Nut butters

At Vitamin Shoppe they have an array of nut butters that come in different flavors

Meat Subs:

Tempeh

Chicken-less strips (Trader Joe's)

Of course there are many others but these are the ones I like...so far...

Protein powder- Vega isn't too bad especially blended in smoothies
