It's that time again, The Arnold Classic is in Columbus! Every year I go and troll the Expo for the "goodies" that are being or not being handed out to passer bys. However, this year is just a little different.
First Picture:
I have been crossfitting for just over 2 years now and it has really surprised me in the sense that I am doing things that I never thought possible. As a previous college athlete (swimmer, go Falcons!) I was never that strong in the weighroom, I actually dreaded weights. However, this sport totally changed it around for me, it's fun and the community is like nothing else. Along with crossfitting, I was introduced to Olympic weightlifting. If you ever want to be really frustrated, I would recommend trying it. BUT you also have a great sense of accomplishment once you figure it out....Pictured here is Mattie Rogers, she is AMAZING at what she does and I can only hope that one day I could lift like her!
Second picture:
Over the last couple months I have been on a reverse dieting journey with the help of Katie Anne. I was struggling with losing weight and really restricting diet. Needless to say I was not happy. So it's been just over 20 weeks and I have gone from eating a mere 160 grams of carbs a day to 325 grams a day.....IT IS MAGICAL! I have maintained my weight, hovering about 164lbs each week. I have not only seen my body comp change a bit, but I have been making gains in the gym! She is really great at explaining the method of reverse dieting and IIFYM (If it fits your macros) as well as being someone to really hold me accountable to my goals.
Here she is deadlifting and crushing it at the Pro Raw challenge at the Arnold....#deadliftgoals
