We have officially started our journey of planning our wedding! We still have no idea when we are going to have it but figured we should get an idea of what was out there in terms of venues.
We are going to be getting married in Columbus OH, Mainly to make it easier for most of our guests.
Today we toured the Highline Car House in the Brewery District of the city. It was a cute space. One large room that had lots of exposed brick, floor to ceiling windows, wood beams and metal chandeliers. There was also a nice outside patio area with a wooden feature wall.
PROS:
-location in the city
-proximity to hotels and bars for post wedding shenanigans
-industrial and rustic features meshed well together
CONS:
- parking was not exactly available so we would have to figure out a car service to get guests from hotel to venue
-had to work with in house catering; no flexibility
-bar: based on consumption. While we still have to do more market research, prices for drinks and food seemed high....
Overall we liked the space but are excited to see what else is out there
