My fiancé told me to get dressed and when I came down stairs, I asked if my outfit was appropriate. He told me I didn't have to change. Well, I was the best dressed at the farm!
We pulled up to the Lynd Fruit Farm, about 20 minutes outside of Columbus, OH.
I cannot remember the last time I went apple picking or to a proper pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful fall day, sunny and 65! We had the option of picking, Fuji, Winesap or Rome apples.
I was not a fan of the Winesap, more of a true cooking apple, so we went with Fuji and Rome. I am going to make a cobbler out of the Rome.
I will say that we were on the tail end of good pumpkin patch season. Most of the goods one were taken and a lot were ruined or starting to rot. However, we did find some awesome heirloom pumpkins which I used to decorate my front porch. I will also be making roasted pumpkin seeds in the next couple of weeks as well!
