As I have spoken to before and I am sure you are all seeing, Birkenstocks are pretty trendy right now! They have tons of new fun materials and designs out this summer. However, that great Made in Germany shoe comes at a pretty price. If you cannot bring yourself to spend the money on the originals then there are some other options for you. My favorite alternative is Madden Girl's version. The upper bands are tweaked just slightly but are pretty much the same AND the footbed is comfortable too so you don't loose that feature.
